GW Ori: circumtriple rings and planets

نویسندگان

چکیده

ABSTRACT GW Ori is a hierarchical triple star system with misaligned circumtriple protoplanetary disc. Recent Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array observations have identified three dust rings prominent gap at $100\, \rm au$ and misalignments between each of the rings. A break in gas disc may be driven by torque from either or planet that massive enough to carve Once broken, nodally precess on different time-scales become misaligned. We investigate origins means N-body integrations 3D hydrodynamic simulations. find for observationally motivated parameters discs, does not due system. suggest presence (or planets) separates inner outer discs. conclude breaking likely caused undetected planets – first planet(s) orbit.

Counting Miura-ori Foldings

We consider the problem of enumerating the different ways in which the classic Miura map fold crease pattern can be folded flat. Specifically, we aim to count the number M(n,m) of ways to assign mountains and valleys to the creases so that each vertex in a m by n Miura map fold will be able to fold flat. Recurrence relations and closed formulas are found for small n and arbitrary m. We also pro...

Predicting Photometric and Spectroscopic Signatures of Rings around Transiting Extrasolar Planets

We present theoretical predictions for photometric and spectroscopic signatures of rings around transiting extrasolar planets. On the basis of a general formulation for the transiting signature in the stellar light curve and the velocity anomaly due to the Rossiter effect, we compute the expected signals analytically for a face-on ring system, and numerically for more general configurations. We...

On n-coherent rings, n-hereditary rings and n-regular rings

We observe some new characterizations of $n$-presented modules. Using the concepts of $(n,0)$-injectivity and $(n,0)$-flatness of modules, we also present some characterizations of right $n$-coherent rings, right $n$-hereditary rings, and right $n$-regular rings.
